Accessing the Benchmark, Progress Monitoring and SRBI Spreadsheets on the X Drive
Billie reviewed how to access the Benchmark, Progress Monitoring, SRBI, and Template Spreadsheets on the X Drive. Billie and Jane demonstrated how to create a new Progress Monitoring spreadsheet using the Templates that are stored on the X drive.
Below are the steps for accessing the X drive and for finding the Benchmark folder:
  1. Log onto the Stanton network.
  2. Go to the Windows logo in the lower left-hand corner of the screen and click on Computer.
  3. Scroll down and find the shared Stanton staff network drive that is labeled staffst (\\stschool7) NOTE: It may also have the labeled (X:) next to it. Double click on that drive.
  4. Scroll through the folders on that drive and double click on the folder’s name, e.g., 2012-2013_BENCHMARK_DATA_COLLECTION_SHEETS.
  5. When the folder is open you can scroll through and find the appropriate grade level folder. Then double click on your grade level’s folder and find the teacher with whom you are working. Then double click on the spreadsheet with your teacher’s name and you will launch Excel and see the data. NOTE: IF THE MESSAGE COMES UP THAT THE FILE CAN ONLY BE OPENED AS A READ ONLY FILE, DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES TO IT. This means that someone else has the file open and is making changes.
We discussed how the Aimline is calculated on the Fluency progress monitoring spreadsheet. Jane started working on putting formulas in the Grade 5 template to do those calculations so the Aimline will be built automatically when anyone inputs the fluency data. This work needs to be completed and formulas need to be added to each of the other grade levels with the appropriate WPM goals for fall, winter, and spring.
TO DO’s:
  1. 1. Jane will work with Billie to:
    1. a. Create Excel formulas for the Aimline in the templates for each of the grade levels so that the Aimline will automatically be built when data is input into the template
    2. b. Revise the graph so that fall, winter, and spring scores are separated.
  2. 2. Jane will send out an email to All Stanton Teachers once those templates are revised so that everyone will know that they are available.
